FinOps APR TCO Optimization Lead

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly analytical and business oriented FinOps APR TCO Optimization Lead to drive technology cost optimization application portfolio rationalization APR software asset management contract governance budget management and financial value realization The role will work closely with Enterprise Architecture Finance Procurement Application Owners Vendor Managers and Business Leaders to identify cost saving opportunities across Software SaaS Cloud Infrastructure and AMS spend while improving financial transparency and governance APR TCO SOP Word APR Playbook PowerPoint

Key Responsibilities

FinOps Technology Financial Management

Drive IT cost optimization initiatives across software cloud infrastructure and support services

Perform Budget vs Actual analysis and spend forecasting

Establish cost transparency through show back and chargeback models

Support annual budgeting financial planning and forecasting cycles

Track realized savings cost avoidance and ROI of technology investments

Application Portfolio Rationalization APR

Conduct application portfolio assessments using Gartner TIME methodology

Identify applications for retirement consolidation modernization or replacement

Align application lifecycle decisions with business objectives and financial targets

Quantify savings from application rationalization initiatives

Track APR pipeline progress and value realization

Software Contract License Optimization

Analyze software contracts subscription agreements maintenance renewals and SaaS licenses

Identify shelfware dormant licenses underutilized subscriptions and contract inefficiencies

Validate license entitlement versus actual usage

Support vendor negotiations using utilization and benchmark analysis

Recommend license consolidation reallocation and optimization strategies

Cost Center Budget Financial Governance

Map technology spend to applications business units cost centers and budget owners

Validate financial ownership and cost recovery mechanisms

Identify unallocated costs duplicate recoveries and incorrect allocations

Improve financial data quality and governance controls

Support budget compliance and financial reporting

Vendor Procurement Management

Collaborate with Procurement and Finance on contract renewals and spend optimization

Review purchase orders invoices renewals and financial commitments

Identify vendor consolidation and cost reduction opportunities

Support sourcing and renewal discussions with data driven recommendations

Reporting Executive Insights

Build dashboards and reports for APR TCO budget and savings tracking

Present optimization opportunities and financial insights to leadership teams

Provide actionable recommendations for improving technology investment efficiency
