Linux Engineer (Web Hosting & Server Management)

Role Overview:

We are hiring a skilled Linux Engineer with expertise in hosting and managing PHP-based websites. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Apache, Nginx, Ubuntu systems, SSL implementation, and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Key Responsibilities:

- Host and configure PHP websites on Linux servers
- Manage Apache and Nginx web servers
- Monitor system and application logs
- Install and manage SSL certificates
- Apply patches and updates to Ubuntu servers
- Manage backup and restoration procedures
- Optimize server performance and troubleshoot issues
- Work with cloud infrastructure platforms
- Document server configurations and processes

• Technical Skills:
• - Proven Linux System Administration experience
• - Strong PHP hosting and configuration knowledge
• - Apache/Nginx setup and tuning expertise
• - Log monitoring and analysis skills
• - SSL certificate implementation
• - Ubuntu patch management
• - Backup and disaster recovery experience
• - Familiarity with cloud platforms and virtualization
• Qualifications:
• - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• - Scripting experience (Bash or Python)
• - Knowledge of automation tools (e.g., Ansible)
• - Exposure to Docker, firewalls, and DNS configuration is a plus
