Network Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Configure and maintain Fortigate Firewalls (VPNs, NAT, IPS/IDS, security policies)
Manage switches, routers, VLANs, and Wi-Fi networks
Administer Windows Servers (AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy)
Perform and monitor server/database backups and disaster recovery simulations
Maintain CCTV, biometric systems, and access control infrastructure
Support office IT hardware: printers, scanners, conferencing equipment
Provide access and setup for development tools (Git, Jenkins, IDEs)
Monitor and secure corporate email systems
Track and manage IT assets, software licenses, and renewals
Collaborate with teams to deploy updates and troubleshoot infrastructure issues

• Technical Skills
• - Fortigate Firewall administration (NSE certification preferred)
• - Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
• - Managed switches (HP/Cisco/Aruba), VLAN, STP, LAG
• - Backup tools: Veeam, Acronis, Windows Backup, SQL backup
• - Network tools: Wireshark, SolarWinds, PRTG
• - Basic understanding of SQL Server/MySQL for backup operations
• - Software inventory and license management (SCCM or manual tracking)
• - Experience with CCTV and biometric access systems
• Functional Skills
• - Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis
• - Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
• - Clear communication and documentation skills
• - Ability to work independently and under pressure
• - Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
• - Relevant certifications: Fortinet NSE, CCNA, MCSA/MCSE, CompTIA Network+
• Preferred Experience
• - Supporting IT infrastructure in mid-size to large organizations
• - Exposure to ITIL practices and ticketing systems
• - Familiarity with hybrid cloud setups (Azure/AWS)
